In cases of discrepancy between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the terms of the Rental Agreement will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Renting a vehicle requires:
- To hire a vehicle in Gloucestershire, you must be at least 21 years old, although age restrictions can vary based on the vehicle type, with possible extra charges for drivers under 25. A valid full driving licence for the relevant vehicle category is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. Valid payment details and a security deposit are also necessary, along with any other specific requirements outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Terms
- Reservations can be completed on our website, via telephone, or directly at our Gloucestershire office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The full payment, along with a security deposit, is generally required at the time of vehicle pickup. All prices are quoted in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, with secure processing through trusted payment providers.
4. Vehicle Pickup and Drop-off
- At the time of vehicle collection, conduct a thorough inspection and report any pre-existing damage to our staff. A vehicle condition report will be created and signed by both parties. It is important to return the vehicle in the same state as received, accounting only for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and charged accordingly. Please ensure the vehicle is returned with the same fuel level as at collection; refueling fees will apply for lower levels. If you anticipate returning the vehicle late, contact us as soon as possible to avoid additional charges. You will be responsible for any parking fines, traffic violations, or charges incurred during your rental period, along with an administration fee.
Insurance and Liability Policies

You are liable for damage or loss up to the excess amount unless additional insurance is purchased. 7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited vehicle uses:
- Use of the vehicle for any unlawful activities is prohibited. This includes racing, off-roading, or other dangerous driving practices. Transporting hazardous materials is not allowed. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is forbidden. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited. The vehicle must not be used for purposes it was not intended for, nor should passenger or weight limits be exceeded. Operating the vehicle outside of the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior authorization.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental termination and charges.
8. Liability Limitations
To the fullest extent allowed by the laws of England and Wales, Car Hire in Gloucestershire will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or business, resulting from your use of our services. Our maximum liability for any claims will not surpass the total rental amount paid within the last 12 months. This limitation does not apply to liability for death or personal injury due to negligence or fraud.
